Screencast for the first time
Good Afternoon,
This blog will be a first for me, I have instructed many classes but never did a screen cast before. This assignment was hard at first because I had to learn the program and then decide what I wanted to record. The other part is talking to people in a class room is a lot different than talking to a computer. The best part about this is I was able to present something that I am highly passionate about and that not many people think about in their day to day lives.
I hope you enjoy and that the information was not to high level. I tried to explain the concepts that were needed without bogging down the message in the details. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
"Everyone makes mistakes. Error is predictable." This was a great starting point. I liked how you mentioned that with skills-based tasks, the biggest problem is inattention... you're so used to doing it that you go on autopilot mode and don't THINK while DOING. Sometimes at work I will realize I've entered that autopilot mode and that my brain is starting to wander. I then shift to a different task, get up and move for a bit, or put on some music to wake up my brain. This was a cool presentation and I learned a lot.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments and I am glade you feel like you learned something. This is what I do basically at my job right now is to get people to do just that, recognize what mode your in what your errors may be and adjust so you do not make those errors.
